The Wera Tools Driver of the Day Award shortlist for Event 8 at Whilton Mill is now LIVE.

Now is your chance to vote for the driver who impressed YOU the most during the weekend, with the winner receiving the coveted Wera Tools trophy, a Wera BKC winners hat, a Wera BKC winners visor sticker, and a free practice session at the next BKC event.

The nominations have been made up of drivers that impressed the panel throughout the weekend and now you can play your part in deciding the winner.

Nominations are:

MicroMaxUK – Lucien Smith #38 KR-Sport – Another clean weekend for Lucien Smith, who’s late season form has seen Smith emerge as one of the strongest competitors in MicroMax UK. Consistently one of the fastest drivers across the weekend, Smith played a key team role as well, actng as defender for teammate Luke Milward in his remarkable run to become Britsh Champion. A composed drive throughout showing how Smith’s driving has matured across the course of 2024.

MiniMax 950 – Oliver Spencer #142 KR-Sport – An up and down weekend was in some ways a microcosm of Spencer’s season. Setbacks in the heats on Saturday set the challenge for the KR-Sport driver for Sunday, which he rose to brilliantly. Starting 10th in the Pre-Final, Spencer fought those both of Sunday’s races to emerge on the podium for the first time this season.

Jnr – Lewis Goff #74 Sam Pollit Racing – Goff saved the best of his form till last, a superb weekend starting with Pole Position in Timed Qualifying, before following that up with strong heats and a first final podium of the season in a 1-2 finish for the team. Goff’s strongest weekend of the whole season meant he also grabbed one of the tickets to represent Team UK at the Rotax Grand Finals in Italy.

Snr – Callum Bradshaw #99 Strawberry Racing – A return to form for the early leader of the championship, his second weekend clean sweep of the year in race sessions. A dominant drive in the final saw Bradshaw fly up the standings to finish as Runner-Up in the final Championship standings.

MightE – Henry Hales #IGP – A historic win for Henry Hales who became the first O Plate holder ever in the MightE Bambino category. Having combined season campaigns in both electric and internal combustion powered Bambino classes this year, Hales’ wealth of experience shone across the weekend
